A key feature of Biocon's manufacturing strategy is to establish a strong synergy between our fermentation and chemical conversion technologies. Together, they offer us the flexibility of producing several technologically-challenging products. Most small molecules produced by fermentation, are subsequently, chemically converted to the active form and purified in our chemical synthesis facilities.

Biocon also manufactures some products purely by organic synthesis to offer customers a choice of products in their chosen therapeutic areas. Our facilities are equipped with a range of reactor sizes - glass lined and cryogenic reactors. Other equipment includes centrifuges, vacuum dryers, and micronisers, located in "clean" finishing suites. All our facilities are cGMP compliant, designed to maintain the highest standards of quality and safety.
