| Redness and
swelling at the injection site, when you first start
to use insulin, may occur. To avoid this, let the injection
site dry after cleaning it with alcohol. This irritation
should generally disappear in 2-3 weeks; otherwise consult
your doctor.
To minimize pain injections, make sure that:
- Muscles around the injection site are relaxed.
- The needle penetrates the skin quickly
- Insulin is at room temperature.
