How do I know it's time to take insulin?

The timing and frequency of insulin injection depends on your blood sugar levels and the desired degree of control in blood sugar levels. For good control frequent monitoring for blood sugar and insulin injections (3-4 times per day) is required. Different insulins have different times of administering it. For example, Insugen R i.e. Regular Insulin is taken 30 minutes before meals to control blood sugar rise after meals. You should take insulin and eat your meals at about the same time each day. This helps keep your blood sugar levels more stable.

Please consult your doctor for the dosage and timings.
