    Planning Meals

A meal plan is one that tells you what to eat at what time in how much in order to optimize your blood sugar levels. You can work out your nutritional requirements with your dietician but here are a few guidelines:

A diabetes meal plan is a guide that tells you how much and what kinds of food you can choose to eat at meals and snack times. But having diabetes doesn’t mean you have to start eating specialized foods or boring meals. A diabetic meal plan simply means more moderation and in fact, more healthy variety, such as of fruits, vegetables and grains that are highly nutritious and low in fat and calories.; though non-vegetarian items may have to be cut down. Interestingly, this is the kind of eating plan that all of us who wish to remain healthy should follow.

A good meal plan should fit in with your schedule and eating habits. The right meal plan will also help keep your weight where it should be. Whether you need to lose weight, gain weight, or stay where you are, your meal plan can help.
