Received ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’ from Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) during FICCI Healthcare Excellence Awards 2019 for her valuable contribution and exemplary work in the field of Healthcare.
Biocon has been recognized for the ‘Best Initiative in Employee Wellness’ at the 3rd edition of the Employee Engagement Leadership Awards. The Company was cited for its comprehensive approach to ensure physical, emotional, social and environmental wellbeing.
Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw, Chairperson & Managing Director of Biocon Ltd., has been conferred with the ‘Honorary Doctorate’ by Deakin University, a leading Global University based in Victoria, Australia.
Our Chairperson and Managing Director Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw has been elected as a member of the prestigious US-based National Academy of Engineering (NAE) for her contribution to the development of affordable biopharmaceuticals and the biotechnology industry in India. With this honour she becomes the first woman from India to receive this global honour.
Biocon was conferred with the IDMA Margi Memorial ‘Best Patent Award’ in the ‘Biotech’ category. The event was organised by the Indian Drug Manufacturers’ Association (IDMA), which is the premier association of the Indian pharmaceutical industry representing pharmaceutical and bulk drug manufacturers.
