Rhonda Duffy
Chief Operating Officer, Biocon
Rhonda Anne Duffy is the Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Biocon, responsible for leading the company’s global operations, including Manufacturing, Manufacturing Sciences & Technology (MSAT), Quality, Supply Chain Management (SCM), and Projects.
She previously served as COO of Biocon Biologics from July 2023 to March 2026 and brings more than three decades of global leadership experience across complex, regulated manufacturing environments.
Rhonda has experience in establishing new functions, bringing new skills and competencies into the organisations she has worked in, and sorting out challenging areas where stabilisation and improved output in quality, supply and performance are required. She has been successful in raising quality standards, adding technology upgrades, stabilising, and improving performance and output in all sites while building new supply chains with external contract manufacturers. She has worked closely with R&D to develop and launch new products. Rhonda has also managed large, diverse global teams across multiple sites and product lines.
Prior to joining Biocon, Rhonda spent over 30 years at Leo Pharma, most recently as Executive Vice President, Global Product Supply. In this role, she led end to end product supply operations spanning six manufacturing sites and more than 30 contract manufacturers, oversaw the launch of two biologics, and managed global product supply for a portfolio generating €1.3 billion in annual sales. She also drove a major cost optimisation programme, delivered significant upgrades across global manufacturing sites, and established a new U.S. based external supply network.
Rhonda is a qualified pharmacist and holds a Ph.D. in Pharmacognosy from Trinity College, Dublin.
