R&D is an integral part of our business and, in order to drive future business growth, we will continue to invest in R&D across all our business segments. Biocon is the front runner in the space of green chemistry on the back of its four decades of experience in fermentation technology, biotransformation and bio-catalysis.

Our R&D team comprises 300+ highly qualified scientists and post graduates from different streams of science and engineering that leverage our biotechnology and chemistry capabilities to develop highly complex and challenging molecules involving high-end product and process characterisation.

Our development team is supported by 50+ process engineers during scale up from the laboratory to pilot and commercial scales, to accelerate accessibility to patents. We also have a dedicated pharmacovigilance team and clinical team to support our development team.
