Speaking to ET Now’s “Midcap Mantra” on the sidelines of the IIFL Global Investor Conference: Entrepreneurial India, Shreehas Tambe — then CEO & Managing Director of Biocon Biologics, days ahead of taking over as CEO & Managing Director of the combined Biocon — discussed the Company’s new product launches and the integration of Biocon Biologics into Biocon Limited.
“The last 12 months have been extremely exciting for us. We’ve got several approvals in the US and in Europe. We’ve seen the success of Yesintek already in the US, where it’s now amongst the largest biosimilars in the US today, and we will be looking to launch some of the other products very shortly. We have launched our bevacizumab biosimilar earlier, and the only rapid-acting analog, which is the insulin aspart — we look to expand insulin aspart in the coming calendar year,” Tambe said.
