Michael Cutter

Global Head of Quality

Michael Cutter is the Global Head of Quality at Biocon Biologics and is responsible for leading the global Quality organization across all locations.

Michael joined Biocon in 2022 and has over three decades of experience starting his career as a Laboratory analyst with Parke-Davis. He has managed teams across multiple countries, particularly in Asia during his time at Ferring, Schering-Plough, Pfizer, Novartis, Merck KGaA.

Over the years, he has played several leadership roles in Quality Control, Quality Assurance and Pharmaceutical Manufacturing, setting the right Quality culture and building credibility with global regulatory agencies like the FDA, EMA, ANSM, ANVISA, COFEPRIS among others.

Most recently, Michael was the Head of Connected Health and Devices at Merck KGaA based in Germany where he led the integration of the Medical Devices and Services unit into the Merck Global Healthcare Network and was also responsible for transforming the performance and engagement of the Merck Pharma Network Quality organization.

Michael is a Biochemist by qualification and has also been awarded the Chartered Chemist status by the Royal Society of Chemistry, UK.
