Amit Kaptain is Head of Commercial API at Biocon Limited, responsible for the API business globally and generic formulations business in select emerging markets. He joined the Company in March 2024.

Amit has over twenty-five years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, including more than ten years in diverse senior leadership roles with P&L responsibilities.

Prior to joining Biocon, Amit worked with Aurore Life Sciences, Dr. Reddy’s, Ranbaxy, Sun Pharma, and E. Merck, and most recently with Ami Lifesciences, as the CEO.
