Fraudulent Recruitment Advisory
We have become aware of individuals and organizations falsely claiming to represent Biocon Limited, its subsidiaries, or its authorized vendors. These entities are issuing fraudulent job offers and appointment letters via falsified email domains and counterfeit letterheads, including on legitimate recruitment portals. In many cases, candidates are asked to make payments under the guise of recruitment fees, application fees, registration charges, interview scheduling fees, background verification charges, or refundable security deposits as a condition for employment consideration.
Please be advised that Biocon Limited and its subsidiaries do not request any form of payment, fees, charges or security deposits (whether refundable or non-refundable) at any stage of the recruitment process. This includes but is not limited to, any of the fees mentioned above or any other monetary contribution linked to a job opportunity. Furthermore, our authorized recruitment partners are strictly prohibited from charging candidates any fees on our behalf. Any request for payment in connection with employment opportunities purportedly offered by Biocon Limited or its subsidiaries should be treated as fraudulent and reported immediately.
Recommended Actions for Candidates
- Do not make any payment or transfer funds under any circumstances, regardless of the reason provided
- Verify the authenticity of the communication by checking the sender’s email address, domain name, and other contact details against official Biocon communication channels and confirm that communication originates from an official Biocon domain (e.g., @biocon.com). Fraudulent emails often use free webmail services or domains that closely resemble, but do not match, our official domain.
- Cease all communication with the individual and do not share any personal, financial or sensitive data with any unverified sender.
- Preserve all records and evidence, including emails, messages, offer letters, payment requests, screenshots, and contact details of the individuals involved.
- If you receive a questionable employment solicitation or suspect fraudulent activity, please report the incident to Biocon, through the channels mentioned below, and to law enforcement authorities, including the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal to help initiate appropriate legal action.
